Neither of the dogs liked the holder. It seemed like a good idea, but is one of those things that us owners like more than the actual dogs. My dog was pawing and pushing at it like "let go of my treat!". Other than that... I like yak chews in general and so you have me for that, because it is about the only think my little "terror" actually chews on for awhile without devouring in seconds besides the nyla bones he used to like and sort of mehs at now.

I picked up this Yak Chew Holder and chew pack for my dog, and it's been a game changer. The holders keep the chews secure so he can't swallow the small ends, which gives me peace of mind. They're super sturdy and easy to use, and he stays busy much longer now. Definitely worth it if your dog loves yak chews or bully sticks. As far as the treats go, my dogs, love them they chew them for hours!

It took my pup two days to finally decide to try this. She loves yak chew sticks but is very leery of anything new. After she tried this a few times it has now become a favorite toy/treat. She likes having the base to steady the chew stick as she chews. I appreciate that the bolt that holds the chew stick in place is well inside the blue bone. The first thing my dog did when she finally approached this was to see if she could chew the yellow bolt - but she can't reach it. When my pup has a yak chew stick she will wedge it against a wheel on my desk chair, or my foot when I'm at my desk. She does that to hold the stick in place when she chews. The blue bone base now has replaced my foot for holding the yak chew in place. I also like that when the yak stick is chewed down to a stub my dog can't reach that last small piece. I can throw it out or make yak puffs. But I don't have to worry about my pup chocking on the last small piece. That is something I always watch for when she has a yak cheese stick because she has choked on the last small piece before. The price is equivalent to what I'd pay for the same amount of yak chews alone. This is a good product for dogs that love yak cheese chew sticks.

This may be one of the best holders I've used for yak. The hole in the yak is ingenious, though that does limit you to using their brand of yak.

It took me a minute to figure out how to place it on the screw, but that was because I initially couldn't pull the screw out. Once I got it out, it was easy to see how it was supposed to go.

My dog could not get this out of the holder and they were able to chew down to the perfect size for microwaving and getting a little more life out of the yak.

This is a great buy. The holder is hefty and it comes with yak all for the same price a pack of yaks may cost.

I like the idea of this product but I found it hard to set-up. I struggled to get it un-screwed to insert the yak bone. The dogs really enjoyed the yak chews themselves though. They did seem a little suspicious of the yak chew inserted into the toy but it feels more comfortable to leave that laying around for occasional chewing than the yak chews by themselves.
