I've tried other bully stick holders, but my 50+ lb pit was able to yank out the last bit and still eat it. The problem with them, is that they just push the treat against the inner wall of the holder. Odd shapes and such will make performance vary each time. The advantage of this bully holder, is that the "bolt" goes straight through the treat's pre drilled hole...then through a hole in the inner wall of the holder. There's no point of failure here, and the bolt and holder are both sturdy, solid plastic. It's also simple to use, because all you do is twist the bolt, making sure it goes through the hole in the treat and the other side of the holder. I do recommend to not twist it too tightly, as the grip for the bolt can be tricky to grab with your fingers once in too far if you have large hands (but a pair of pliers helped me get it out the one time I did it).

Cleaning is easy, since there's no hollow areas for water to seep. What's also nice, is you can take the time to drill a hole in other treats that can fit in the opening of the holder...such as other bully brands you have laying around, or yak cheese (just make sure it's not cut overly wide). This can also be seen as an issue if you don't want to (or can't) drill holes in your dog's chew treats, but I feel it's worth the time for me.

The treats themselves are fine. I got the 12 inch ones, and they lasted my girl about two days of intense chewing. Sure they smell a bit when you first open the package, but I haven't noticed any odor while they sit around in the open. I might pick up some more once I run out of what I have already in the pantry. Even if I don't get more of the treats...I'd DEFINITELY get another holder if the current one wears out.

Monty loves this! He loves to chew and this has made him quite happy! These pictures/video are from a few days ago and the bully stick is now frayed and looks pitiful but still perfect to him lol! I love how it comes with the piece to connect the bully stick to, to help prevent dogs from choking on the last little bit. We've had this for a few weeks and he still goes back to it over and over to chew on. Very happy with this purchase! If you have a chewer this is amazing!!!

My year old black lab pup is a voracious chewer. She has just met her match with this very safe bully stick holder. The hole in the bully stick to prevent slippage sealed the deal. The holder is very sturdy and allows her to use her paws to secure so she can chew and chew like crazy. Truly appreciate the safety of this product since the bully stick is secured very well with this holder. Thank you for giving me peace of mind and I thoroughly enjoy seeing her doing her thing with this chew. One chew will last her a few hours when spread out a couple of days. Rescued a new puppy recently. Nicknamed him "Shark" because of the needle like fangs contained in his angelic face. He literally has a PILE of over 20 toys: squeakies, wrinklers, puppy Kongs, Cow Hooves, puppy tennis balls etc. The ONLY things that held his attention were my hands or my socks. While I was still wearing them! That is....until I got him these bully sticks!! He's literally been chewing away for over 3 hours straight. As in non-stop!

I'd given my other, older dogs bully sticks over the years, but was a bit worried about letting my 11 week old puppy chew on one. This product easily allayed my concerns.

The product is made in the USA and the company is veteran owned. The sticks are cut to the perfect size and have pre-cut holes to attach to the holder. No fear about swallowing a piece that's too large and it getting stuck in his throat. These sticks also don't seem to have the odor that other sticks have had when chewed.
